Willis Dale Griffin, 85, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away on September 18, 2024, with his extended family by his side. He was born on June 25, 1939, in Marshall, Arkansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Griffin.
Willis was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed watching and feeding the hummingbirds. He and his companion Julie recently purchased an RV, they had already been on several trips, visiting Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Not to mention, spending time at the Highway 125 Maria in Peel, Arkansas. Willis wasn’t really a fisherman, but he liked boating and camping.
Because of his love of being outside, when he was younger, you would catch Willis landscaping his own property. He had a knack for making his yard look beautiful. Willis loved watching westerns, maybe he was just an old cowboy at heart. He appreciated a good steak meal and liked pasta as well. Willis loved spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan. Willis cheered them on every time they were on the tube, wearing his red, white and gold.
Willis is preceded in death by his parents, his wife JoAnne Griffin, his daughter Terri Ginochio, a son William Griffin who died from crib death and another son Willis “Billy” Griffin Jr.
He is survived by Julie Raymond and family, Bill Bucher (best friend), Jim and Charlene (also very good friends), Luppe a pastor and friend and many other friends and family.
The family plans on having a Celebration of Life, the date has not been decided at this time.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
You changed my life
without even trying,
and I don’t think
I could ever tell you
how much you mean to me.
I can’t imagine what things
would be like if
I hadn’t met you.
