William "Pop" H Film III, Jasper AR, born June 28, 1943, in Troy NY passed away peacefully in his sleep January 12, 2024.
Will graduated from Ichabod Crane High School and went to work for the State of New York where he quickly became Computer Systems Supervisor for the Department of Equalization and Assessment. He retired after nearly 40 years with the State.
He was an avid runner with the Hudson Mohawk Roadrunners Club competing in marathons in NYC, Boston and New Orleans. He loved to hunt and fish and build things with his hands. He spent countless hours maintaining the swimming hole on the Little Buffalo for everyone to enjoy and was especially proud of helping build Morwood. In New York he raised his 3 loving boys and so many foster children including Kim Ligato. Later in life he was proud husband and dad in Arkansas with his wife Sandy Rose.
He was predeceased by his parents Helen and William Film, first wife Connie Film Phillips, granddaughter Amanda and brother Steve Film. He is survived by his wife Sandy, his Brothers Kevin (Yvonne) Film, Rick (Sharon) Film, Robert (Brenda) Film and Sister Dawn Shaver, his children William (Stacy) Film, Corey (Kristen) Film, Scott (Debra) Film, Michelle (Kenneth) Hudson, and Levi Rose. He left behind 14 Grandchildren including his pride and joy Alyssa Rose and many nieces and nephews.
A private family riverside memorial service will be held later this spring in Jasper on the Little Buffalo River.
