Willard Joe Matthews

 Willard Joe "Matt" Matthews of Harrison AR., passed from this life on June 7th, 2021.  He was born on August 16th, 1939 in Aurora MO. to Tonnie and Reva (Dougherty) Matthews.

Mr. Matthews was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Bill Matthews and Frank Matthews.

He is survived by his wife Francis (Ford) Matthews and children:  Shiela (Andy) Romanski, Joseph Matthews and Teresa Hamilton all of Holiday Island, AR., Walter Matthews, Karla Harrell of Berryville, AR., and Kevin Matthews of Harrison, AR. brother: Ed (Irene) Matthews of Orange, CA.  along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews a host of extended family and many friends and church family.

Mr. Matthews spent most of his life in Real Estate in the Springfield MO. area.  He was an entrepreneur and spent time in retail and Avon sales.

He was a member of One Life Church of the Nazarene, and most recently a member of Woodland Heights Church in Harrison, AR. 

Mr. Matthews loved sports and especially loved watching his grandchildren play.  He loved to read and was a history buff and a storyteller and loved traveling.
