Wanda Lorene Ogden

Wanda Lorene Ogden, 75, of Huntsville, died on Saturday August 22, 2020 at The Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, AR. She was born June 27, 1945 in Branson, Missouri to Thelda and Ira Mathews.

She is survived by a sister; Regina Vargason of Huntsville, AR., a brother Bobby Mathews and two daughters; Aneita Ferrari and husband Loyd Ferrari of Bergman, AR and Kathy Falconburg of Harrison, Arkansas. Surviving Grandchildren: Tracey Rodery (Brad Rodery), Chris Rogers (Maria Rogers), Tonya Treat, Shawn Harp, Zachary Ferrari, Austin Norman, and Rachael Tuck; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Francie Tuck; three brothers Floyd Mathews, Freddy Mathews, and Ira (Dooley)Mathews and four sisters Nelda Dillard, Erma Vanderpool, Sharon Shepherd, Freda Riley.

She loved gardening and working with flowers. Wanda also loved to watch old westerns and listen to country music. Her favorite Western was Gunsmoke and her favorite country singer was Merle Haggard. Wanda frequently talked about her boyfriend, Garth Brooks.

She is well known for many famous sayings including: ‘I ain't scared of you or a field full like ya’ – ‘you are sweet and hard to beat’ and ‘you will be in the pen by the time you are 21’. Most of us are pretty proud to say we successfully stayed out of the pen, even past the age of 21.

Graveside services will be performed at Marshall Cemetery in Forum, Arkansas on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 2:00. Pastor Heath Kirkpatrick will be officiating.
