Trudy (Monk) Horton

Trudy Horton, 93, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at her home with her daughter by her side on September 19, 2023.  She was born on September 30, 1929, in Long Beach, California, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Messing) Monk. 

Trudy loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.  Also, she appreciated reading, making jewelry and watching westerns. Her husband was a Navy man, so she accomplished the role of being a good Navy wife.

She is survived by her children Steven King (Lynn), Linda Lutherbeck, Joseph (Crystal) Worrell, Mary Horton and Robert Horton. Additionally, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Trudy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alva “Al” Horton a Navy Veteran and son David Horton.

Trudy will be missed by so many of her friends and family.  A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date where her ashes are to be buried beside her late husband in Marshall, Arkansas at Canaan Cemetery.
