Tony Cowan, also known as the Mystic Warrior of Cherokee nation passed away Thursday June 11th 2020. Tony was born May 7th 1947 in a home birth in Dodge City, AR to Lelan Williams Cowan and George John Purdom.
Tony was the eldest of 15 children, and was more like a father figure to them all. At the age of 18 he served in the Vietnam war, and serving his country was one of his greatest honors along with being a Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Colby, six siblings and numerous other family members.
He is Survived by his children: Anthony, Katrina, Karen, Johnny, Jazmine, Sean, and Mathew. Grandchildren: Ashley, Joey, Anthony, Paige, Colby, Mason, Skylinn, Jazmine, Cameron, Stephanie, Dezarae, Rick JR., Jason, Bobbie, Zack, Kiara, Kayleb, Kole, Everett, Rosco, Sean, Mara. Great Grandchildren: Neliah, Heavenly, Ben, Colby, Aria, Hailey, Bentley, Brantley, Kayden, Audree, Katrina, Kennedy, Aiden, Eileen, Maelynn, Karalee, James, Radley, Maxwell, and Kehlani. 9 Siblings, numerous niece’s, nephews, and countless other family and friends.
Daddy is now our Soldier in heaven. We will rejoice his reunion with our forefathers and praise God for granting him his wings as we lay him to rest on Wednesday June 17th at Rock Creek Cemetery 3514 W. Highway 14 Harriet Ar. 72639 @ Noon. Everyone is welcome to come.
