Susan Carol Duncan

Susan Tillotson Duncan of Jasper, Arkansas passed away January 11, 2022, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

Susan and her husband, Joda, moved to Jasper over 35 years ago. After vacationing in the area, they fell in love and decided to move from southern Louisiana to build their dream log home atop Mt. Sherman. Susan loved all things music: singing, playing instruments, and starring in musicals both in high school and college. In her later years, she dearly loved to sing at church and share gospel through music. Susan was a long-time substitute teacher at Jasper schools and organized and led the local girl scout troop. We will never forget the years the living room was stocked full of cookies to deliver around town! She also loved to go camping and boating on area lakes and riding with her husband in his red sports car.

Susan is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joda Duncan, of Jasper, Arkansas; son David Duncan, of Lebanon, Tennessee; and daughter Jennifer Fowler (and husband Dennis), of Frisco, Texas, along with numerous extended family members throughout the South.  Our local florist is Meshelle at The Jasper Jypsi 870-446-2992.

Susan’s Memorial Service is planned for 2PM on Saturday, January 29th, at the First Baptist Church in Jasper, Arkansas. Refreshments will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Please join us for a celebration of a truly special mom, wife, and dear friend, as we listen to her music together.
