Steve Allen Colinger

Steve Allen Colinger, was called home on 12/09/2023. He was born 12/18/1969 to Emma and Babe Colinger in Harlan, Kentucky

Steve graduated from James A Cawood High School and then later went on to join the Army and serve our great country. He often reminisced about his time in Germany on the Russian Border while serving with his platoon and often shared photos or his “brag book” as he liked to call it with friends and family. 

Steve is survived by the love of his life, his wife Kim to whom he married on 8/24/2010. He is survived by his precious daughters: Alesha, age 39; Haley, age 28; Samantha, age 42; and Shelby, age 41 and 5 beautiful grandchildren. 

One of Steve’s greatest joys in life was portraying Santa Claus and he always declined any kind of payment/gift because he truly felt that Christmas didn’t come with a price tag. Steve had a massive love for fishing and gardening and raising his Chickens. He also had an obsession for yard sales. If he needed one, he bought four. Steve was always prepared for any and all contingencies. 

Steve had a childlike attitude towards life and always wanted to please everyone. The amount of love and joy that he brought to his wife Kim was undeniable and was felt deeply by his family. 

Steve was so loved and will be greatly missed and our hearts ache for the loss of such an incredible man. The impact he had on anyone and everyone was unmeasurable. To know Steve was to love Steve. His wife Kim often told others that he could talk a telephone poll down. He never met a stranger. 

Steve had such a tenacity for life that he didn’t want any formal services but rather a Celebration of life BBQ.
