Scott O. Cochran

Scott O’Rourke Cochran, age 71, passed away peacefully September 13, 2021, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas after a courageous battle with COPD and COVID pneumonia.  Scott was born on October 25, 1949, in San Angelo, Texas to Eugene and Peggie Cochran.  He was the big brother to special needs sister Vicki Cochran and dedicated his life to working with individuals through Special Olympics and different special needs groups from Texas to Arkansas.

Scott is survived by his wife, Jean Cochran as well as his 90-year young mother, Peggie Cochran. He has two children, Missy Cornish and Jason Cochran, married to Barry Cornish and Cody Cochran respectively. He loved his grandchildren Kendall, Jacob, William, Fred, Sunni, Dekota, Grayson, and Baylen. He was also survived by his Aunt Claire Parnell and Aunt Joanne Glass and numerous cousins.

Scott was committed to changing his life through 30 years of sobriety and donated his time, efforts, and energy into helping others do the same. His smile was contagious, and he had a way of making everyone around him feel special.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 5-7pm on the Harrison Square at The Pour House. (114 N Willow St. Harrison, AR 72601)
