Obituary

Roger Duane Dees, son of Elmo and Norma (Edwards) Dees, was born on July 25th, 1955, at the Boone County Hospital.  As a young boy, he attended White Oak Baptist Church in Bergman, AR.  He graduated from Bergman High School in 1973.

He loved to play guitar and sing gospel music with his mother, a passion he held dear even into adulthood.  Roger was a skilled woodworker, welder and mechanic who lent his talents to Doy Marshall, Sutton Products and Edmonson Machine Shop.  He also owned R.D. and Sons. He rounded out his career as a truck driver which incorporated his love for travel.  During this time, he was able to visit all 48 states in the continental U.S.  Roger passed on his knowledge of mechanics to his sons and his love of gardening (inherited from his father) to his daughter.

Roger is preceded in death by his father Elmo, his mother Norma and infant sister Sandra.  He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons: Greg, Chad and Chris and daughter Mandy, his seven grand-children:  Zach and Jacob Dees, Lathain, Keira and Dalston Dees, Christian and Zoey Atchley and great-grandchild Grayson Dees.
