Robert Houston Wiles, 81 of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas passed away on December 12, 2023, at the Hospice House of the Ozarks. He was born on March 4, 1942, in Memphis Tennessee, the son of Merlin and Jeanette (Busby) Wiles.
Robert was strong in his faith, he attended the Franklin First Baptist Church in Franklin, Arkansas. One of Robert’s career choices was being a hairdresser and makeup artist. He did the hair and make up for some movies, two of them being Great Balls of Fire and Steal Magnolias. Another career before hairdressing was being a karate instructor, there he trained the famous Elvis Presley. Both occupations lead him to having some great memories and adventures. He moved to Arkansas 20 years ago, Robert was a huge animal lover, especially dogs and cats. He also volunteered at the local shelter; I Care.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life, Sandy Wiles and his brother and sister Mike and Gloria.
He is survived by his children Barbara Bentley, Debbie (Ken) Smith, Dr. Rob Wenzler (Becky) and David Wiles. His grandchildren Shana Wortham (Chris), Tiffany Harmon (Jared), David Hale (Christy), Jordan Hale, Reagan Hale, Houston Wenzler, Wiles Wenzler, River Wenzler, Elle Wenzler and Nate Wiles. Robert has one living sister, Judy (Marty) Dietrich. Also, Robert had six great grandchildren. Included in survivors were his two friends, Bob and Pastor Jeff.
Robert will be greatly missed by so many friends and family.
