Robert A. "Bob" Hill, 84, of Harrison, passed away Nov. 15 at Cox Medical Center in Branson. Born Oct. 31, 1939, to the late Lois and Willie Hill in Center Ridge, Ark., Bob graduated from Nemo Vista High School in 1957 and went on to the University of Arkansas, where he received his BSA in Agri Business in 1961. A proud member of the professional fraternity Alpha Gamma Rho, he first put his knowledge and passion for helping others toward teaching agricultural vocation at Charleston (Ark.) High School, then moved to Farmers Home Administration in Harrison, where he spent 30 years helping individuals and rural communities finance improvement projects. After retiring from FmHA, Bob continued this work at Northwest Regional Housing Authority and finally at his own consulting firm, Supplemental Resources, Inc. He also co-founded Krooked Kreek Water Association and worked tirelessly to bring reliable potable water to the community south of Harrison. He loved working on his farm, and was especially dedicated to his orchard of peach, pear, pecan and walnut trees.
He is survived by Jean, his devoted wife of 62 years, as well as his daughter Gina Hill Mooney and her husband Dave of Golden, Colo.; granddaughter Emma Claridge and husband Kent of Lakewood, Colo.; grandson Dashiell Mooney of Huntington Beach, Calif.; brother Dwight Hill of LaGrange, Georgia; sisters-in-law Rachel Hill of Morrilton, Ark., and Faye Hill of Patterson, Calif., and many loved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Hill Fulkerson and his brothers Jerry Hill and Harold Hill.
