Robert L Beard

Robert (Bob) Lynn Beard, 58, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas passed away on November 7th, 2022, at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation Center in Flippin, Arkansas.

Bob was born on May 15, 1964, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Onard and Hannah Mae Beard.  He attended Flippin Public Schools and graduated as Valedictorian of his class in 1982. He subsequently attended School of the Ozarks (later College of the Ozarks) and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business agriculture, and later on found his life’s work as a well-respected real estate appraiser.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Michael Lee Beard.  He is survived by his uncles, Orville Mears (Janice) and Dean Mears (Ruth), several cousins, his very good friend, Terry Woods, his sister-in-law Dianne Beard, and the members of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Harrison, whom he considered family.

Service to community and church were important to Bob, as he demonstrated by being a member of St. John’s vestry for several terms, serving as usher and most recently as Junior Warden, and always offering a helping hand when needed. Additionally, he participated in Bull Shoals City Council.  He was always cheerful, even when facing multiple health issues. His interests included target practice and collecting vintage farm toys. Bob was a kind and giving person and will be deeply missed by friends and family.

A memorial service for Bob will be held at 1:00 P.M on November 20th at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 707 West Central Ave., in Harrison, Arkansas.
