Rickie Glen Aucoin, 78, of Peel, Arkansas, was surrounded by his loved ones as he passed through the veil on December 12, 2023. He was born on June 25, 1945, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the son of George Gardner and Glenn Zylks.
Rickie loved his home and land and enjoyed keeping it looking nice. He was a pool shark that liked to school the wannabes. Rickie rode motorcycles his whole life until his hip replacement. Then, came his beloved corvette, affectionately named “sister wife”. When Rickie passed, a great deal of knowledge was lost with him. He was a wonderful teacher for anyone who needed his knowledge. His wife, kids, and grandkids will remember his lessons always. Rickie loved his dogs. He had a dog or dogs his whole life, mostly rescues. He called himself the dog whisperer. His best dog, Freckles passed away just a month before him, leaving behind Chewy, Buddy, Frankie, Dauntless, and Peanut. Rickie was fortunate to meet his half-sisters later in life, the love they shared was huge and beautiful. Rickie’s wife Nancy said that he was the love of her life, and she was his.
Rickie is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary Gardner and another brother Rhett Aucoin. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, children, Rickie Jr., Robert, and Michelle Pelletier, and stepson Rock Mutchler and grandchildren Meagan, Carley, Braydon, Robyn, Hunter, Cameron, Connor, Bryce, Kaidence, Rylan, Emma and Alonna. Sisters Georgia Gardner and Gale Vincent. Also, his much-loved cousin Cliff Zylks, many cousins and nieces and nephews. Along with family, his dear friends Joe and Bonnie Beck.
Rickie will be missed by so many; a Celebration of Life has not been scheduled at this time.
