Richard Nichols Obituary

Born September 27, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri to Sandra Jost and Richard Nichols. He went to Heaven on June 20, 2023 in Harrison, Arkansas.

For those that knew him it was always said that Nick made the world a brighter place. He loved to fish, hunt, cook, loved to share stories, loved to be on “the farm”, and just loved to make everyone happy.  With him every fish story was just a little longer, every rack was just a little bigger, every story a little funnier, and every pot of chicken and dumplings a little more “butterier”. He loved to share his knowledge with everyone, especially kids. He was always looking for opportunites to help anyone “know” the outdoors since he loved it so much. Some even called him “the Mountain man”.

He lived most of his life in Missouri. He had many happy places to be, but by far his favorite was to be with the love of his life Kim and their dogs Chuckie, Sulley, Sarah and their bird Peeper. He was a loving husband, brother, “Uncle Nick”, and “PawPaw” as well as a loyal friend.

He was a skilled hunter, a fisherman, a funny guy, as well as a teacher. Nick loved people and never met a stranger. Those he loved, he loved fiercely. Whether it be family or friends, his love for them was everything.

While his death is so sudden, please rest in the fact that he is celebrating with his Mom Sandra, Dad Nick, Nan, Pop, Maggie, and many other before him. On June 20th 2023 Nick Nichols gained his wings, and while we are sad for his loss, to him this became his greatest accomplishment of all as now he can be a guardian Angel for so many and he is  in heaven. Nick had professed his faith in Christ and we are comforted knowing we will see him again.

Nick was also a member of Community Baptist Church near Lebanon, Missouri.

Nick leaves to mourn his loss, his wife of 18 years Kimberlee Nichols; Brother, Steven Nichols (Ramona); Stepmother Mary Nichols; Mother in law, Jewell Olsen; Sister in law, Karin Wymer (Scott); Brother in law, Tim Olsen; Nephews Shawn Nichols (Chera), Shane Nichols (Ashley), Slade Nichols; Neice Ryli Nichols (Sergio); Step-daughters Debbie Haines and Kristen Perez; Step-sons, Kenny Howard Sr.; Jason Herrera, and Mike Herrera; Grandchildren, Dakota, Christian, Logan, Noah, and Mackenzie Hunter; Cole Laudenbach, and Mikey Herrera; Janie Blattel and the Blattel family; great nieces, great nephews, a great grandson as well as many cousins, extended cousins and friends.

We love him and miss him already and will not forget him. We will celebrate him with our loving treasured memories of him.

. Memorial service is:  Tuesday, June 27th at 11 am.
