Relda Rhea Purkes

Relda Rhea Purkes, 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away at home on October 19, 2025.  She was born on October 20, 1942, in Beaumont, Texas, the daughter of Percy and Iva (Gilstrap) Purkes. 

Relda loved her Lord.  She attended church at First Assembly of God in Mountain Home.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.  Relda was an excellent gardener; she grew some of the prettiest roses around.  She enjoyed going hunting, watching games shows and football.  Relda lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida until moving to Mountain Home eight years ago.

Relda is preceded in death by her parents and a child.  She is survived by her daughter (May), her daughter’s family, two sisters (Loma and Iva) and nephew (Joseph) who loved her dearly. 

Arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
