Ray was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi on March 23, 1952, to Archie and Beatrice Rushing Williams. Ray passed from this world on Saturday June 18, 2022.
Ray is survived by five sons, Shane (Robin) Williams of Greenville, Mississippi, Chris (Jennifer) Williams of Belzoni, Mississippi, Tim (Chrissy) Williams of Carrolton, Mississippi, Tyson (Kerrigan) Belk of Commerce, Georgia, and Lucas (Alicia) Belk of Lakeview, Arkansas, twelve grandchildren, Alex Williams, Brice Zeigler, Randa Williams, Grayson Williams, Emily Williams, CJ Williams, Angel Williams, Carly Williams, Hunter Williams, Cash Belk, Brinlee Belk, and Jackson Klasinski, three great grandchildren, Rhett Kilpatrick, Allasyn Horne, and Lane Horne. Ray is also survived by Glenda Williams, the mother of his three oldest children, and Teresa Belk, his companion and best friend, and the mother of his two youngest sons. Ray is also survived by his brother Mike (Tracy) Williams, two sisters, Shelby (Dennis) Baldwin, Brenda Baldwin, and sister-in-law Cindy Williams.
Ray put God first in his life and was of the Baptist faith. He had a life long career in construction. Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing and taught his sons the art of turkey hunting and how to catch the biggest fish out there. Ray will be remembered as a friend to many with a giving soul.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James, Bobby, and Kenny.
