Peggy Jean Moore

Peggy Jean Moore, 91, of Harrison passed away June 7, 2025, at Hospice of the Hills House with her family. Peggy was born January 10, 1934, in Weir, Kansas to Joseph and Virginia Stricklin. She married Leroy Moore on January 13, 1979. Peggy and Leroy were Jehovah's Witnesses. She liked hiking, cooking, shopping, spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends, and tending to her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leroy Moore, and her son Mike Koster. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Leland) Davis of Berryville, Patti (Jack) Chisum, and Cindy (Dennis) Patrick of Harrison; two stepdaughters, Linda (Francis) Hoshauer of Attwood, Illinois and Brenda Craft of Liberty, Illinois; and one stepson, Randy Moore of Bradley, Illinois. She is also survived by one brother, Ed (Helen) Stricklin of Edmond, OK, and one sister, Ginny (Ray) Fuhrman of Harrison; sister-in-law Betty Waelder and brother-in-law Garry Moore, both of Illinois. Peggy had twenty grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and amazing neighbors.

The Peggy Moore family acknowledges appreciation for all the prayers and kindness during their time of need and extends gratitude to Hospice of the Hills for their care and support during Peggy’s final days. Special thanks are also extended to Diamond State Cremation. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. 

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation.
