Olen “Howard” Edgmon, age 83, of Harrison, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
He was born April 23, 1939. He was the son of Henry and Erbie (Villines) Edgmon and was married to Virginia “Ginny” (Kellett). Howard retired from Duncan Industries after 41 years.
He was truly a “jack of all trades”. There wasn’t anything that Howard could not build, make, or fix himself. He loved working in the garage with his array of tools. He also loved to shop garage sales. He would buy records and all sorts of things that most would have thought were throw-away and find a use for them. He loved to fish, pluck his guitar, and read about history. Saturday evenings were spent playing cards with his family. Howard had a great sense of humor and could keep us all laughing. He loved his family with all his heart, and he will be missed dearly.
Howard is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginny”, of Harrison; daughter Iris “Sam” Roe and husband Terry, of Omaha; grandchildren John Boles and partner, Dana Tabor, of Fayetteville; Jeremy Boles and wife, Rachael, of Harrison; Amy Bunt and husband, Rudy, of Centerton; James Roe and wife, Lizzie, of Omaha; Jodi Isam, of Georgia; Jordan Summers, of Harrison; and his nine great-grandchildren, Trent, Vincent, Clayton, Jocelyn, Henry, Dalton, William, Nila and Levi.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Rhonda Summers; parents Henry and Erbie Edgmon; brothers Johnny, Oren, and Owen “Lee” Edgmon.
Howard was a simple man who didn’t want a lot of fuss about him. He did not want a service. His ashes will stay with Ginny until she goes home to be with the Lord. They will be buried together at that time.
