Norma Jean Evans, 90, of Calico Rock, Arkansas, passed away on December 27, 2024, at Hospice of the Ozark in Mountain Home. She was born in Platteville, Colorado on October 10, 1934, the daughter of Fred and Irma (Eisenbarth) Deutscher.
Norma had a loving spirit, and she loved her family dearly. She was of German descent and enjoyed cooking entrees from her culture. Norma adored hummingbirds and the Christmas holiday. She was a very sociable person and enjoyed playing cards. Her favorite tv show was Wheel of Fortune and she liked country music. She and her husband managed a rv campground for years and years, they always had a group of campers gathered around socializing and having fun. Norma never said goodbye to anyone, it was always “Later Alligator or After While Crocodile.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her son Jerry (Tammy) Evans, two daughters Patricia Gates and Debbie McMillan. Also, she leaves behind many other family members and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
