Melanie Ruth (Suggs) Snelson

Melanie Snelson was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, grandma, and great grandma. With tons of grandkids and children, her home was never empty. She loved butterflies, drinking Dr. Pepper and spoiling all the kids rotten.

Melanie was married to Bill Maples and later to Gary Snelson.  She was the daughter of Verna Suggs.   

Melanie’s life was filled with memories of thrift shopping and yard sales.  She couldn’t pass a yard sale without saying “is that a yard sale” then having to make a U-turn to go to it.  Her family will have recollections of sitting around the table playing Yahtzee and all piling in the care heading to Silver Dollar City with only $20 dollars amongst them all.

This past Thanksgiving, Melanie insisted that everyone go outside and help Hannah with her children so she could see her great grandchildren sooner.

Melanie was blessed with her grandchildren Kiley, Hannah, Reagan, Olivia, Rachel, Rebecca, Harley, Eli, Miles, Jo Jo and Jenesis and a great grandma to Sebastian, Maxwell and Astrid.

Melanie Snelson’s legacy will live on.  The love that she had for her family and friends will never be forgotten. Now, she has joined her husband Bill, mother Verna, sister Cindy and two daughters, Megan and Jennifer in heaven. 

Arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
