Mark Eloyid Young of Hootentown, Missouri graduated to a larger shade tree in the sky on June 24th 2022. Mark was born on April 13th, 1958, in Independence, Missouri to Adrian M Young Sr and Dorothy O. (Dewberry) Young.
Mark was a quiet man and lived many years alone, which is how he liked it. He wasn’t needy but would give you anything you needed if he had it. In his younger years, Mark was an excellent carpenter, mechanic, baseball player, and loved to drive fast. He was a great fisherman and was a master at having a good time.
Mark was a loyal friend who loved Louie Lamour books and old westerns. Nothing good ever happened after he said: “watch this!”
He loved sitting and listening to family stories and watching his siblings spar with each other, while he would laugh hysterically.
Mark attended Salem School and grew up there. He lived in many places, but loved the James River in Missouri. He made a new home there on the banks in a small community called Hootentown. It was there that Mark put down roots and grew into a new family of friends of which he loved dearly and found his favorite shade tree to sit under, every day, where he would talk, laugh, and solve the world problems. In this little peace of heaven,
Mark found peace and spent many, many hours with is friend Walter. He had many friends there, too many to name.
Proceeding Mark in death are two brothers, Michael Adrian Ledsam Young, Adrian M Young Jr (Jaybo), and his parents.
Those left behind to talk of his funny antics are Sisters Jane Mitchell (Lee) of Mammoth Springs, AR, Glenna Martin (Bob) of Salem, AR and Anna Matlock (Richie) of Lead Hill, AR. Brothers Chuck Young (Tami), of Salem AR, Wayne Young (Teresa) of Salem, AR, Joe Young (Angie), of Salem, AR and Randy Young (Theresa) of Mountain Home, AR, and many family and friends.
The celebration of life will be July 16 at 2pm at Salem Senior Citizen Center in Salem.
