Mark Stuart Bailey

MARK S. BAILEY, a resident of the Osage Community was born April 12, 1960  in Harrison, Arkansas a son of Maurice and Melva Jo (Parker) Bailey, Sr. He departed this life Sunday December 5, 2021 in his home at the age of 61.

Mark worked for law enforcement for 30 years including Boone County, Harrison Police Department, and Alpena Police Department where he served as Chief for many years.  He also served with Carroll County Sheriffs office.  He loved fishing, hunting and working on the farm.

On August 22, 2008 he was united in marriage with Dana (Landua) Bailey who survives him of the home.  He is also survived by his two estranged sons B.J. Bailey of Little Rock and Brian Bailey of Louisville, Texas; three daughters, Shelby Cockerham and husband Cody of Oak Leaf, Texas; Shannon Lowe and husband Jay of Tom Bean, Texas;  Haylee Griggs and husband Jarred of Mineola, Texas; son Chris Garcia and girlfriend Melanie Berstine of Osage; one brother Junior Bailey and wife Debby of Green Forest; two sisters Patty Melton and husband Doyle of Tulsa; and Linda Middleton of Claremore, Oklahoma;  six   grandchildren, Hazel and Scout Cockerham, Kennadi Barrett, Kash Mace, Keller and Beau Griggs; several nephews, nieces and other relatives which will mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Melva Jo Bailey.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday December 10 at New Hope Fellowship Church in Green Forest with Greg Lentz officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made at CS bank to the Mark Bailey Memorial Fund.
