Marilyn Wanda (Denny) Sowles

Marilyn Wanda Denny Sowles, 79, passed away on May 21, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Born on July 4, 1945, Marilyn was a beloved daughter of Jefferies and Ettie Denny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings; daughter-in-law Alice Sowles; and grandson Mark Anthony Sowles.

Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her children: son Cary Sowles; son Michael Sowles (wife Seney); and daughter Renée Swanson (husband Art). She was a devoted grandmother to Triston and Lauren Sowles, Amber Towery (husband Chad), Melissa Lenderman (husband Jay), and Jace Swanson (fiancé Caylin). She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Caiden, Connor, and Anabelle Lenderman; Reece and Claire Towery; and Myles Swanson.

She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

Though no services are planned at this time, Marilyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
