Lyle Hunt Obituary

Lyle Wellington Hunt, 88, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away at his home on March 25, 2025, with his wife and son by his side.  He was born on November 13, 1936, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Wellington and Dorothy (Guetschow) Hunt.

Lyle loved his family.  He enjoyed listening to old country music and old church hymnals.  He was an excellent woodworker, making all kinds of projects.  Also, he liked doing leather work.  Although fishing wasn’t something he did often, he would throw a worm out every now and then.  He appreciated his yard looking nice, so concentrating on keeping up with the yardwork was a priority.  Lyle joined the United State Army and was proud to serve our country.

Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Elaine Hunt and brother Baby Boy Hunt.  He is survived by his wife Lillian and son Ray (Cissy) Hunt.  Also, Lyle leaves behind a sister Deloris (Phillip) Pulju and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Lyle will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday 29th at 1:00pm located at the First Lutheran Church in Harrison, Arkansas.

At a later date, his wife will be taking his cremains to Minneapolis, Minnesota to be buried at Sunset Cemetery beside other family members.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
