Lois Williams Obituary

Lois Jean Williams, 85, of Lead Hill, Arkansas passed away at Hospice of the Hills on July 7, 2024.  She was born on October 15, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of William and Muriel (Gereau) Teson.

Lois worked for Procter and Gamble in St. Louis; she retired after 31 years.  She moved to Diamond City, Arkansas in June of 2011 because her nephew Jimmy (and wife Shirley) insisted she move close to them.  The love of her life (nephew) Jimmy passed away in 2016.  Shirley then took on the role as her next of kin. Jean lived alone until she was not able to take care of herself and moved in with her niece Shirley and now husband, Robby Akins. They loved and took care of Aunt Jean like she was one of their own. She was in their eyes.

Jean took special joy in her crafts. She enjoyed ornament making and diamond art painting.  She especially loved shopping.  Jean hunted all over Canada, some of her kills was a bear and many antelopes.  She liked fishing, both ocean and fish water.  Jean loved all dogs, but her favorite were Schnauzers.  Computer time was very important to her, she spent hours and hours playing all kinds of card games.  Another love of Aunt Jean’s was going on vacation to the ocean, her favorite places were Myrtle Beach, Galveston, Texas, Orlando, Florida, and Jekyll Island in Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Murial and nephew, Jimmy.

She is survived by her niece Shirley (Robby) Akins of Lead Hill, and many other adopted family members.  Aunt Jean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Diamond State Cremation.  A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in St. Louis where her cremains will be interred.
