Lawrence L. Smith (the junk man) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas passed away October 11th at the age of 87.
Born in Dermott, Arkansas, April 23, 1938, to Mabel Mahfouz Smith and William B. Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joseph and sister, Shirley. His sons, Mark and Larry Smith from Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Betty “Boop” Smith, the mother of his children and the love of his life.
He is survived by his brother, Ernest “Buddy” Smith of White Hall, Arkansas; his daughter, Laura (Smith) Poynter and her husband Tim Poynter (his favorite son-in-law), their two children, Timothy and his children Trinnen, Askel, Ayden, Laszlo and Otis; Hollie (Poynter) Holloway, her husband Cody and their children, Holland and Khalil, all of Berryville, Arkansas; his daughter-in-law, Teresa Smith and her children, Chris, Micah and Preston of Bella Vista, Arkansas; his granddaughter, Anistyn Long of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Lawrence and Betty Smith will be announced at a later date.
