Lavita Ray (Oldham) Mills

Lavita Ray (Oldham) Mills passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. 

Lavita was born to Raymond and Dorothy Oldham in Salado, TX on February 4, 1949. She was married to Charles “Chuck” Mills for 34 years.  Lavita is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and a nephew.

She loved being outside, her flowers, her chickens and donkeys, and her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She was happiest sitting in her rocking chair on her front porch watching the kids play.

She is survived by her loving husband Chuck, six brothers, one sister, her children Christi and her husband Kevin Jackson, Brandon and his wife Heather Durham, and Justin Mills, her grandchildren Haley Baughman, Weston Rutledge, Derrick Jackson, Tori Durham, Hunter Baggett, Cambrie Jackson, Logan Durham, Brock Jackson, Zowie Durham, Logan Jackson, Abigail Gilliam, Evelyn Mills, Caraline Mills, Coeplynd Durham, Dez Jackson, Casen Durham, Mexia Durham, and Nation Durham, and her great grandchildren Tucker Jackson,  Oaklyn Baughman, Sawyer Jackson, and ClaraAnn Jackson, with two more on the way.

There will be a celebration of life on May 1, 2022 at 2:00 at Copper Rock Barn. All are welcome.
