Kenny Roger Parton, 73, of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020. Born April 24, 1947, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Homer and Lucille Young Parton. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents and son, Brian Parton.
Kenny was a lifelong resident of Omaha, Arkansas. He was a man of many talents, skills and craftsmanship’s. He was an engineer and surveyor and could make or build just about anything without hesitation. A perfectionist at heart, he was very gifted in all that he chose to tackle. One of Kenny’s passions was playing guitar, which he dearly loved and played until his final days, even while living in Newton County Nursing Home. He was a beautiful instrumentalist and song writer, and played for Sally, his wife of many years. Kenny was known for being ornery, and was not afraid to speak his mind, to anyone at any time. Kenny was also a Pentecostal Preacher and loved preaching the word to family and friends.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Sally, daughter; Cynn Parton; son; David Parton, two stepdaughters; Marie Middleton and Janet Burdine. Kenny is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
