Kay Weller Obituary

Kay Lynette Weller 69, of Harrison, AR., passed away January 19.2024.  She was born on November 7th, 1954, in Mobile AL., to James and Catherine (Barber) Bryant.  She was preceded in death by her husband George Lang, her parents and brother Paul Bryant.  She is Survived include her children:   James (Susan) Weller of Republic, MO, Richard Weller of Harrison, AR. and Catherine Weller of Wetumpka, AL. and Grandchildren:  Kaylin Weller, Ashley Weller of Republic, MO, Amber (Brooks) Lucas of Bolivar, MO), and Abigail Zwicki of Wetumpka, AL. and a brother James Bryant of Mobile AL.

Mom loved to bake and cook, to play bingo, sewing and making clothes, puzzles, new recipes and of course her dogs.  She was a professional florist for years, worked as the library aide at Alba Elementary School, and worked for Hobby Lobby for several years.  Kay was a woman of many talents that often surfaced as acts of love and kindness in things like her passion for cooking and baking for those she loved. She had often spent time sewing some of the spiffiest outfits for many things like awesome Halloween costumes to little girl dresses. Her eye for beauty and style combined with her love of helping others is shown in the jobs she selected and in being a professional florist for many years, Elementary school library aide, and of course Hobby Lobby. Some of her favorite pass times were winning big in bingo, puzzles and finding new recipes but most of all road trips with her son down south for the best seafood she could find. She went out of her way to help others and never wanted to be a concern. She was full of fire and humor, love and compassion and will forever be missed but remembered around a table for family dinner, in the laughter at her son’s dad jokes and in the smiles of her granddaughters.

She will be greatly missed.
