Joe Bankston Lallement (Joe B.), 88, of Lead Hill, Arkansas passed away on March 31, 2021 after a long fight with kidney disease. Joe B. was a loving father, “papa”, brother, uncle and friend to all he met and knew during his 88 years on this earth. Joe B. was predeceased in death by his father, Joe H. Lallement and mother Mildred Lallement, Sister Anna Lallement-Sewell, and Brothers Nolan C. Lallement and Arthur Lallement.
He is survived by five children and ten grandchildren, Rick Lallement and spouse Tamara, children Danielle Lallement-Newton, Stephanie Lallement-Sutton, and Matthew Lallement and Jonathan Lallement; Joseph Lallement and (Allison Henry); Linda Lallement-Johnson and spouse Tom, children Tara Johnson and Melissa Johnson; Theresa Lallement-Davidson and (Jeff Belcher), children Randall Davidson, Joseph Davidson and Danica Tena; Daniel Lallement and spouse Amy, child Carmen. Joe B. is also survived by two loving brothers Roy “Dean” Lallement and William “Bill” Lallement.
Joe B. was born in Thomas, Oklahoma and the family ultimately moved to Orlando, Florida when he was a youngster where his life flourished and his many stories of life in Orlando began pre-Disney evolved. Joe B. ultimately began a career in the early 1960s with the fledging NASA program racing to the moon. Joe B. spent 30 years at the Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida working on the Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle programs during his tenure. After retiring, he followed Linda Lallement-Johnson and her husband Tom to the Lead Hill area where he fell in love with the community and decided to make it his forever home as well.
Dad, Papa Joe, Uncle Joe and close friend of many with his whit, wisdom and caring ear will be forever missed. Until we meet again, we love you Dad and cherish the 88 years we were blessed to have you.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the National Kidney Foundation.
