Janis Lyn Claypole

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janis Claypole, who departed from this world on December 8th, 2023. She left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

Born on November 3rd, 1970, Jan graced the world with her presence, bringing joy, warmth, and compassion to all who crossed her path. She grew up in Kansas City and Independence, where she forged lasting friendships and laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service, kindness, and excellence.

In her memory, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that touched countless hearts. While we mourn her physical absence, let us also reflect on the beautiful tapestry of memories that Jan has woven into our lives. Our hearts go out to her husband Robert. She is survived by her father Chuck, sister Kim, daughter Samantha, and many extended family members.

A memorial service will be held from 4:30 - 6:30, on December 27th, at Hill Park in Independence, MO. Friends, family, and well-wishers are invited to join together to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made.

May Janis find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of solace and inspiration for all who were privileged to know her.
