James Lee Luttrell, 74, of Harriett, Arkansas, passed away at his home with his family by his side on November 9, 2024. James was born on July 28, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Herbert and Edna (Graham) Luttrell.
James was known for his silly personality and being a goofball. He was always trying to make people laugh, even near the end. James enjoyed smoking cigarettes and listening to country music. He liked watering and feeding his cows, petting and loving on his powderpuff Chinese Crested dog, Emma Chew. Also, he enjoyed working outside in the garden. James enjoyed the beach, and he liked The Beach Boys’ music. He was always a gentleman and very kind, he made a point of not swearing around women and children. When his family would say they loved him, he would come back with, “I love you more”. James was a homebody and rarely liked going places. Just give him a cigarette and music and he was content for hours. When people would ask James how he was doing, his answer would be “not bad for a fat white boy”.
James is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diane Luttrell, his brother Jack Luttrell and sister Sue. He is survived by his sister Chris Gesner and girlfriend of nine years, Teresa Hogue and Teresa’s daughter Dessie (Tommy) Simpson and their three children.
James will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
