Howard Gene Saylors

Howard Gene Saylors, 85, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, passed away on February 4, 2026, at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living in Flippin.  Howard was born at home on December 27, 1940, in Dodd City, Arkansas, the son of Bland and Macie (Rose) Saylors.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 58 years, Anna Mae (Heard) Saylors; infant daughter Tina Michele, and infant great-granddaughter Caitlyn.

Howard is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Donna Saylors of Lead Hill, his son Gaylen Saylors of Lead Hill; two grandchildren, Briana and husband Mike Voran of Mountain Home, and Hunter Saylors of Lead Hill; four great-grandchildren, Caden, London, Asher and Cameron.

In Howard’s younger years, he enjoyed quail hunting, coon hunting, and riding and showing horses.  He was a proud member of the 1956 State Champion Yellville-Summit Panthers basketball team, being named to the all-state team.

Howard married Anna Mae (Heard) Saylors, on April 19, 1963, and they shared many wonderful years together.  Howard loved the Lord and invested many years preaching the Gospel.  Over the years, he served as an associate pastor at Peel Full Gospel Church; pastor at Welcome Ridge Community Church; as well as helping to start several new churches.  By trade, Howard was a mechanic.  He worked at Hudspeth Motors for over twenty years.  He was the transportation supervisor for Lead Hill Public School, and also Cedarville Public School.

Howard was a beloved husband, Dad and Papaw.  He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Monday, February 9, 2026, at Peel Full Gospel Church, with Brother Curley Johnson officiating.  Pallbearers are Jim McCracken, Jason Vanderwaal, Hunter Saylors, Greg Saylors, Gaylen Saylors and Lance Bradford.  Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Twin Lakes Therapy and Living, Karen King and the employees of Country Market. 

Arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
