Henry Newell Friend

Henry Newell Friend, 46, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at his home.  Henry was born June 17, 1974, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Max and Lavinia Friend.  Henry is preceded in death by his father, his grandparents; Don and Bernice Friend, and Raymond and Agnes Walker, and numerous uncles and aunts.

Henry Newell Friend was 5 years old when he was hit by a pickup truck and lived to tell about it!  Henry smiled a lot and laughed a lot, and he really enjoyed and loved to visit his family and friends more than anything!  Henry and his brothers were always there for each other.  If one needed help, Henry was there for them, and his brothers were there for Henry if he needed help.  Henry’s family were raised in Forsyth, Missouri.  Henry graduated from high school in Hollister, Missouri, later moving to Arkansas with his mother and oldest brother.

Ten years ago, Henry met the love of his life, Cindy.  They were happy, very close, and loved each other dearly.  They met in Harrison, Arkansas, and it wasn’t long before they decided to get married and settle down in Boone County.

Working on his Dodge truck was one of the things Henry really enjoyed.  He was a great mechanic, and his passion in life happened to be his career.  Henry was also a man of God and enjoyed going to church and visiting his church family.

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, his mother, Lavinia, two brothers; Max Friend ll, and Henry’s twin brother Donald, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

“My brother Don and I feel the need to show our respect to this man, our brother, and we are blessed to have you as our brother.  Henry you overcame obstacles that were crazy and became a great and caring man.  We can’t believe you are gone.  We love you and miss you.  I know Pop is glad to have you with him.  Fly high brother.  You will never be forgotten Henry Friend.”
