Helen Raye McVay

Helen Raye McVay, 74, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away April 10, 2021 in Harrison at her daughters home.

Helen was born March 22, 1947, in Olla, Louisiana, the daughter of Roy Thomas and Myrtis Virginia Weems Johnson.  Her parents proceed her in death as well as her husband James (Jim) McVay, sister Virginia Ann Andrews and brother Billy Joe Johnson.  

She is survived by her three children:  Mark McVay (Ladonna) of Monette Mo., James McVay (Sheila) of Hermitage, AR. and Barbara Meeks (Michael) of Harrison, AR..  Her brothers:  Irvan Johnson, Joey Johnson and Tommy Johnson.  11 grand children:  David McVay, Mirada Choat, Kim Crow, Daniel McVay, Cody McVay, John Meeks, Jeremy McVay, Carlee Meeks, Brooke McVay, Holley McVay and Amanda McVay and 7 Great-Grandchildren.

Helen chose to be cremated and as per her and Jim's wishes, their ashes along with their beloved dog Shelby, will be scattered in Wyoming at a later date. 

Special thanks fo Legacy Hospice for the wonderful care she received. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 2nd at 12-4 pm at her daughters home in Harrison.
