Gary Frederick Schratz, 81, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away on June 26, 2025, at his home. He was born in Monroe, Michigan, on January 23, 1944, the son of Frederick and Phyllis (Seaton) Schratz.
Gary was described as an “Old Time Gentleman”. He died a believer in Jesus’s grace. Gary believed that God was the ultimate rescuer and source of salvation. 1 Timothy 4:10 says “For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
He loved Fox news and was passionate about old and new cars, there wasn’t one he didn’t like. Gary and his wife Jamie spent 24 wonderful years together.
Gary is survived by his wife Jamie Schratz, his two daughters, the first being Donnell (Kevin) Rogers, their two children Kole (Debra) Rogers and Dominique (Skyler) King and their son Remi. His second daughter, Etta (Derek) Norby and their daughter Falynn Norby. Also, his one son Ricky McGinty and his son Logan McGinty.
Gary will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
