Eva Mae Robertson Eaker Proffer, 92 of Diamond City, Arkansas passed away at her home with her daughter Carol by her side on June 25, 2025. She was born on September 21, 1932, in Indiana, Porter County, the daughter of Reed and Madeleine (Barnard) Robertson.
Eva was a very strong and tenacious lady. She was a hard worker and raised 7 children. Eva was a servant of God and put everyone else before her own needs. She loved her children and her family very much. When her children were young, they would pack up the car and go camp out in the desert, no tent, they just slept out under the stars. Eva was married to her first husband Charles Eaker for 55 years until his death. She has been married to her second husband for about 13 years. Eva never complained about anything, she just dealt with things and moved on.
Eva is preceded in death by her 4 brothers and 2 sisters, Donald Robertson of Arnold, Missouri, Phillip Robertson of Searcy, Arkansas, Paul Robertson of Harville, Missouri, John Robertson of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Etta Hensley of Alton, Missouri and Leola Gross of Wentzville, Missouri. Also, her parents Reed and Madeleine, her first husband Charles Eaker and a child Glenda Eaker Clark.
Eva is survived by 6 siblings, Jim Robertson of St. Louis, Missouri, Richard Robertson of Washington, Missouri, June Schaefer of McDonough, Georgia, Arlene Schindler of Kelso, Missouri, Darlene Gaines of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Joseph Robertson of Rosebud, Arkansas. Also living is her husband Willie Gene Proffer of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, her 6 children Ronnie (Sherry) Eaker of Clark, Missouri, Charles “Bobby” (Karen) Eaker of Alton, Missouri, Leslie Eaker of Lead Hill, Arkansas, Carol Eaker Abbott of Diamond City, Arkansas, Shelia (Jesse) Eaker Munoz of Hemet, California, and Sherry (Leo) Eaker Perez of Downey, California. Eva is leaving behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a few great great grandchildren.
Eva will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service is planned for July 10, 2025, at 5:00PM, located at First Baptist Church of Diamond City. The address is 615 S. Diamond Blvd. Diamond City, 72630.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
