Edward Patrick Obituary

Edward Jay Patrick, formerly of Poplar Grove, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 22, 2024, in Harrison, Arkansas.        

Mr. Patrick was born November 8, 1939 in Helena, Arkansas to the late David Jay Patrick and Sarah Grace Miller Patrick.

Mr. Patrick was born, grew up, married, and had a family in Phillips County Arkansas.  He helped on his family's farm at an early age and blazed his own way farming, trucking, and owning Patrick's Dairy Maid which later became Patrick's BBQ with his wife, Mildred.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and traveling across the United States and Mexico in his RV with his loving wife and friends.  He was always up for an adventure and loved visiting his grown children and grandchildren.  His personality was bigger than life and he loved laughing while telling a good story or hearing one.  He loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred Patrick, one son, Edward (Eddie) Jay Patrick, Jr., (Donna) of Louisa, Virginia, three daughters Rita Taylor (Tony) of Deer, Arkansas, Lena Johnson (Scott) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Melissa (Lisa) Davis of Edmond, Oklahoma, four grandsons, William Patrick (Beth), Robert Johnson (Jessica), Jonathan Trampert (Melanie), and Zachary Taylor (Kelly), two granddaughters, Jennifer Douglas (Joe) and Megan Via (John); Eight great-grandchildren, Emerson, Reece, Amelia, Hadleigh, Robert, Miles, Cora, and Patrick; One brother, John May Patrick of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

 Mr. Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, David and Grace Patrick, one brother, David Patrick and one son-in-law, Jamie Davis. 

A Celebration of Life will be held in Harrison, Arkansas Thursday, March 28 at 1:00PM.  Mr. Patrick's Cremains will be interned at the Patrick family plot at Turner Cemetery in Phillips County, Arkansas at a later date.
