Donna Carol (Harness) Jackson

Donna Carol Jackson, 78, of Harriet, Arkansas, passed away at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center on December 30, 2025.  She was born on November 23, 1947, in Marshall, Arkansas, the daughter of Doice “Tom” and Rue (Branscum) Harness.

Donna was an avid reader, and she enjoyed drinking Dr. Pepper.  Even though her dog Annie had passed away, she loved her dearly.  Donna liked to go fishing.  She was famous for making her homemade pies, coconut cream and pecan. She was a great gardener, both vegetables and flowers. Donna was a member of the East Side Missionary Baptist Church; she loved her church and serving God.  Most of all, Donna loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buddy Jackson, her sister Judy Ann Watts and Judy’s husband Mike.

She is survived by her three children Diana Horton Forrester (Doyle) of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Jeff Horton (Twilla) of Marshall, Arkansas, and Linda Jo Casey (Chris) of Harmon, Arkansas.  Also, she leaves behind five grandchildren, Heath Forrester (Meagan), Colton Horton (Abby), Keely Grice, Summer Horton (Hayden) and Christopher Casey (Emilee).  In addition to the grandkids, Donna has great grandchildren, Michael and Barrett “Bear” Forrester, Everley Grice, Jameson and Cecilia Horton, Tate Casey and Baby Casey (which is on the way). She also leaves behind one brother Ronnie Harness. 

Donna will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. 

Donna’s funeral is scheduled for Friday January 9, 2026, at 2 PM, located at East Side Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor David Wallis officiating.  Immediately following the service interment will be at East Lawn Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Heath Forrester, Lance Watts, Chrisopher Casey, Colton Horton, Holly Joe Dye and Charles Dale Harness.  Honorary pallbearers is her great grandson Michael Forrester and the staff at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center for being so caring to Donna and the family during her final days.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
