Dennis Ray Neeley Sr.

Dennis Ray Neeley Sr., 74, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away at NARMC on May 31, 2024.  He was born on December 8, 1949, in Fresno, California, the son of Francis and Grace (Neal) Neeley. 

Dennis was known as a prankster; he would do things to his kids and grandchildren just to irritate them.  He had a big sense of humor.  He enjoyed making people laugh.  Dennis loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  When he would go on outings one of his favorite things to do was eat out.  Dennis favored his personal cars; it didn’t matter what kind of car it was.  One of his favorites was a box style Impala.  Dennis loved cars! For a pastime, Dennis enjoyed bowling, he played in a league. He worked for California Public School District for 13 years.  

Dennis joined the Air Force in 1973, he served as security force.  After fulfilling his 8 years in service he decided to leave the military in 1981.  On June 29, 1974, he married Christine Allen, and they had four children together. 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, Christine, and four children: Cassandra (David) Staysa, Dennis (Desiree) Neeley Jr., West (Cecily) Neeley, and Shane (Esther) Neeley.  He has 14 grandkids:  Krystalynn S., Victoria S., Ashleigh S., Dennis III N., Irene N., Grace N., Peter N., Ryley T., Eli N., Mia N., Kai N., Noah N., Hailey and Ethan. Also, two great grand kids, Mabel and Bonnie. 

A Celebration of Life is planned for June 10th, 2024, at the Baptist Association in Harrison at 1:15pm.
