Debra Woods Obituary

Debra Woods was born in Cleveland, Ohio October 29, 1961.  She moved around a lot in her years. Where she finally settled in Blue Eye, Missouri after her first grandson was born. That's the home she loved the most. That's where she lived for the past 17 years until she passed away on October 31, 2020. Just two days after her 59th birthday.

Life wasn't all fun and games for her as I don't believe it is for anyone. She did have a pretty amazing life though. A family filled life. Family and God was the core of who she was. She had helped so many people to find the light of God. She was also the glue that held her family together. She had several jobs in her lifetime but never anything to call a career. Her profession was a house wife, a home maker, a friend, and a teacher.  For her sister Shirley I think she gave her the best form of birth control. She allowed her to watch her youngest child being born. Shirley didn't have kids till 15 years later.  Her other sister Kim they often got into loads of trouble together. Sneaking out and doing stuff kids knew they shouldn't be doing.   In the early years of motherhood she struggled. Struggled to show her family what they meant to her. Always to busy trying to put food on the table and give us what we needed. It got easier as we got older.  Family time grew as we began having kids of our own. Being a grandmother really helped develop our family as a whole. She would spend countless hours with her grandkids. Finding all sorts of music each child loved. Anything from Elvis to I am a gummy bear.

She's always been a bit of a gamer too. The last few years her love of games grew. Since she couldn't get out and do much she would explore new world's. Find new battles and monster to fight.

Any family it didn't matter who she would give them a bed if it was needed. She would help us back on our feet when we got a rough patch. We all had plenty of later night talks when any of us were down. Lots of holidays spent eating good food and joking about. With plenty of love to go around. She will forever be know to friends and family as a fun loving jokester with a dirty mind and a smart mouth. Everyone loved her all the more for it.

She left behind four children Gina McMillan, Erik Shimandle, Anthony Shimandle, and Christopher Conklin. She left behind the love of her life Dale Shimandle. She also left behind her mother Marjorie Bruening and her step mother Shirley Kirkland who is married to her father Robert Kirkland. She leaves behind her sister Kimberly Wilson, and Shirley Perreault. Her brothers Robert Kirkland, Scott Kirkland, and Rob Kirkland
