David Loyd Sampson

David Loyd Sampson, 72 of Harrison Ar., passed away on November 25th, 2023.  David was born on October 4th, 1951, in Oceanside CA., to D.O. (Duke) and Carol May (Balcom) Sampson.  David is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Christine Sampson, his parents:  Duke and Carol, and Jim Sampson of Phila. Pa

David is survived by his three children:  Shane Sampson of North Pole Alaska,

Jeremey (Kandi) Sampson, of South Dakota and Marian Sampson-Sweet of Juneau Alaska and his grandchildren:  Skye, Kitty, Dillon and Molly.  Surviving siblings include William (Lanny) Robertson of Branson Mo., Jean Sampson-Queer (Ron) of Harrison AR. and Stacy Sampson of Springfield MO.   

David served his county in the Air Force from 1978 to 1992.  While living in Juneau Alaska, he was a law enforcement officer and worked at the college in Juneau for several years. 

After the passing of David’s wife, David jumped on his motorcycle and traveled from USA to the South Pole and home again on a 2 year sprint. Upon returning into the USA he traveled to the 4 points (N S E & W) of our country. 

Then retired to Harrison Arkansas where he helped care for his mom in her last days.
