Cecelia Helen Treibel, 95, of Gamaliel, Arkansas passed away on February 19, 2024, at the Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born on December 23, 1928, in Wausau Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Hempel) Conrad.
Cecelia really loved solitaire, most of her time was spent playing. She was married in 1952 to Walter, they spent many great years together until his death in 2011. Cecelia moved to Arkansas a couple of months ago and lived with her son and his wife on the lake. She adored her new room mate, Harley the German Shepard. He would lick you to death if he could. Cecelia was a very independent woman she was still driving in her nineties. Her favorite thing to say was, “Don’t take my cards or my black coffee”!!!!
Cecelia is preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents, her two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her two sons Allen (Jane) Treibel and Stephen Treibel and girlfriend Dottie, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Also, many other family and friends.
There is no service scheduled at this time, the family plans on taking Cecelia back to her home town to be buried beside her late husband.
