Carl Henry Wilson

Carl Henry Wilson, 75, of Alpena passed peacefully from this earth on August 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  He was welcomed at heaven's gate with open arms by his heavenly father, his parents Henry and Shirley (Pruett) Wilson, siblings Diane Baker, Beverly Carnegie, Michael Wilson and Delsia Marshall.

He was born on July 29, 1948, in Reedley California.  He was self-employed working long hours as a carpenter and baker.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors. 

He met his wife Carolyn at a family BBQ through a mutual friend in the summer of 1965.  They were married the following fall on October 8, 1966, in San Jose, California.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years Carolyn (May) Wilson of the home and children:  John (Tammy) Wilson of Green Forest AR., Susan (Ray) Hayford of Clinton AR., Carla (Donovan) Qualls of Yellville AR., Paula Richardson of Hollister MO. and adopted son Jayden Wilson stationed at Ft. Carson CO.  Additional survivors include his brother Daniel (Shirley) Wilson of Troy MO., 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Dog Branch Cemetery at 10am on August 5th, 2023, with Ray Hayford officiating.  Pallbearers: Dustin Snider, Austin Qualls, Jaydon Wilson, Ryan Richardson, Donovan Sneed and Jody Marshall.  Honorary Pallbearer:  Legacy Hospice Nurse and friend Shauna Ricci.
