Carl Glenn Shatwell, of Bergman, Arkansas, passed away on June 23, 2022. He was born in Vendor, Arkansas, on December 21, 1948, to Elver and Effie (Davis) Shatwell.
Carl is preceded in death by his dad, mom, sister; Mavis Hancock, and two infant sisters. Sister-in-law; Loretta Mehn. Brothers in law; Bruce Jones, Avery Pruitt, George Smith, Sam Plumlee, Tom Brown and John M. Wheeler.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Lillian (Holt) Shatwell, his sons; McKinley (Tresa) Shatwell, Leslie (Annette) Shatwell. Granddaughters; Shelbie Shatwell, Madison Shatwell, Carlesa (Shatwell) MacMillan (Coppola), Chloe Yocham and Sonya Shatwell. Grandson; Eli Shatwell. Great Grandsons; Mikel MacMillan, Hudson Gracey, and one great grandson on the way, Mitchel MacMillan.
Sisters; Patsy Jones, Thelma Pruitt, Vonna Smith, his brother; Farrell (Belinda) Shatwell. Sisters-in-law; Lillie (Robert) Culp, Betty (JK) Thompson, brothers in law; Dewey (Jackie) Holt, Roy (Lori) Holt, James (Teresa) Holt, and Dean (Shirley) Holt.
Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
Carl attended the First Assembly Church in Harrison. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and especially his grandson Eli. He loved fishing on the lake, floating on the buffalo, hunting, camping, and riding his motorcycle. Carl looked forward to playing high nine cards with his brothers in law every New Year’s. It is a memory the whole family will remember and cherish together. His life revolved around his grandchildren and his wife. He always told his grandchildren “Remember, Papa loves you very very much.”
Carl is loved by so many and has touched many hearts.
A remembrance/visitation will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 1pm-3pm at Proclaiming Jesus Ministries located at 215 E. Stephenson Ave, Harrison, AR.
