Bonnie Lou Stafford, 83, of Lead Hill, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023, after a brief illness at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, where she received unbelievable care and kindness from all of the staff. Although sudden, Bonnie was ready to go home to be with her Lord. So, though her family and friends will miss her dearly, those who knew her knew that she was ready to go Home whenever the Lord saw fit.
Bonnie was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on June 25, 1940 and is survived by her daughter Lisa (Berch) Bakewell (Scott) of Joliet, Illinois and two sons, Carl Edward Berch III (Sandy) of Belleville, Michigan, and Michael T. Stafford of Ypsilanti, Michigan. Bonnie is also survived by several grandchildren, including Zachary and Christopher Bakewell; Nathan and Aaron Berch; and Nicholas and Alexandria Stafford.
Bonnie and her husband, Henry F. Stafford (deceased), owned and operated Franklin Realty for over 20 years, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Upon retirement, they moved to Lead Hill, Arkansas in 1991, where Bonnie remained till her passing.
For the past 23 years, although Bonnie lived by herself in Lead Hill, she was never alone. The community of Lead Hill welcomed her with open arms, and she became a central part of the community. Bonnie’s greatest pleasure was introducing Jesus Christ to everyone she met, as it was her greatest joy to be available to anyone the Lord brought in her path.
According to Bonnie’s wishes, a small service will be held graveside on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Grove Road Cemetery on Cedar Grove Road in Lead Hill, Arkansas. Appetizers will follow at Diamond Hills Country Club & Bunker Grill, 20701 N, AR-7, Lead Hill, AR 72644 for a time of fellowship.
