Bonnie Kay Slagle, 68, of Zinc, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Born December 2, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Harold and Irene Whitmyer Williams. Bonnie is predeceased by her parents and her husband, and two sons: Kenneth Slagle and Harold Dinsmore.
Bonnie was a woman of many talents! She was a lover of many things and had many passions! She was strong and kind, and she was extremely helpful to everyone who needed it. In her younger years she lived in California, Nebraska, Virginia, Rhode Island, Georgia, N. Carolina, Tennessee, and Arkansas. She had a son, Ricardo, whom she loved dearly. Bonnie also has two stepsons from a former husband, Dennis, whom she met in Oregon. Bonnie enjoyed the country life and prided herself on being a simple woman of many talents. There was not much she could not take care of on her own. She was smart and opinionated and ahead of her time. Bonnie was a certified nursing assistant in California. She was also a banker, a fish monger, and a bartender and loved crafts. Bonnie traveled to many places and always considered Arkansas home.
Bonnie will be missed deeply. Her family will keep her memory alive by the sweet memories they have that are still fresh in their minds. Bonnie would want her family to remember her for her kindness and generosity. Bonnie was legally blind and was still able to do arts and crafts and managed to get by with out much help or a seeing-eye dog.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Ricardo (Mary) Kim of Zinc, Arkansas, her sister, Deloris Skipper of Georgia, and her granddaughters, Alisya Horton, of Conway, Arkansas, Kerstin Skipper of Nashville, Tennessee, and Ariel Thorne of Harrison, Arkansas. Bonnie is also survived by her grandsons; Ravon Thorne of Harrison, Arkansas, and Chase Marshall of Harrison Arkansas, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.
