Bobby Dean Cornelius, 84, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away at his home with his loving family by his side on December 31, 2023. He was born on July 25, 1939, in Coalgate, Oklahoma. The son of Benjamin and Fannie (Carlile) Cornelius.
Bobby had a great sense of humor, and he loved the time he got to spend with his family, especially grandkids. He liked hosting barbecues and having people over. Bobby enjoyed rodeos and fishing. He was a straight shooter and never complained about his health. He married the love of his life, Willa Dean Hunter on April 4, 1959. They shared 64 great years together. Since Bobby was nineteen years old, he started truck driving and didn’t end his career until he was 79. He put 60 years of his time over the road, delivering whatever needed to be delivered. You name it, he hauled it. Bobby joined the Army and served our country in the Vietnam War.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Still. He is survived by his wife Willa Dean, his children, Bonnie Rine, Dwala “Diane” Allen (Stephen), Jerry Cornelius, Laverene Whitebuffalo, Jay Cornelius and Benjamin Cornelius. One sister, Mary Knight, 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for January 13, 2024, from 1pm-3pm at Venue 121 located at 121 Main Street N, Harrison, Arkansas.
