Betty S. Conner

Betty S. Conner was born October 4th, 1946, to the late James and Florence Scaggs of Omaha, Arkansas. She passed away June 14th in her home.  

She graduated from Omaha High School and later Drury College.  

Betty spent all her life in the hills that she was raised in. She had a love of gardening and a love of baking and cooking. Betty was not happy unless she was feeding you. She dedicated most of her career to taking care of the elderly and then, at the age of 50, decided to become a hairdresser.  

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers, Bob and Charlie Scaggs, the father of her two daughters, Johnny Lemon, and by her two sons, Shanon Lemon and Greg Shelton.  

She is survived by her husband, Donnie Conner, of the home. Daughters; Kelly Lindberg and Michelle Lemon of Harrison, Arkansas, and her stepsons; David Conner and Kivett Conner of Harrison and Kendall Conner of Fayetteville Arkansas.  She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Grant, and brothers; Raymond Scaggs, Henry Scaggs and Junior Scaggs.

Betty loved her 13 soon to be 14 grandchildren and 11 soon to be 12 great grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, we as a family would ask you to go say hello to your neighbor take a sit on their porch and shoot the bull for a minute. Our mother loved her neighbors and they loved her. She will not only be missed by all of us, but her little street will not be the same without her.
